I am not fond of sun java applets. Personally I am mad that they sued and made microsoft get rid of their java applets that were working so well. the site is very well put together but their software is just terrible. I would advise everyone to not get this software and to search for the way to get microsoft java like I did.

This site is great! It is very helpful because if you want specific colors you need to use the hexidecimal codes to get them. This site shows all of the colors. I have this bookmark and suggest that you should to.
JPEG
Of the three formats of images JPEG is the highest of quality and the most compatible between computers. It is great for internet sites because it is a small file size yet it still has good quality. My personal favorite type of image. This has to be the best type of image to use for an internet site.
GIF
GIFs are another good type of image to use for websites. Though they lack some quality, they are very small in file size. These images can sometimes look grainy, but are still alot better than some formats. GIFs are also used to make animations which are a fun aspect of them.
PNG
I don't really like PNGs. They sometimes dont capture the correct colors. When this happens the picture is basically destroyed. I suggest that you dont use this format for cartoon based pics. This format is best suited for real pictures like you take with a camera.
